Sport and selling

Providing an individual’s personality and physiology fits the game, sport is a mainly psychological issue. This is contrary to the widely held view that technique should be the central focus. 80% of an individual’s performance ability can be achieved through an understanding and coaching of performance psychology.

Strangely for anyone new to this subject, selling is subject to identical influencers. There are those who can sell (although probably less than 10% of those who think they can) but very, very few who understand selling. Again we are not referring to those who know the rules of selling, we are talking about those who really understand the processes that take place in persuasion.

Those who do may be able to recognise the thought directions and rhythms that deliver the highest level of success in selling, sport and life in general. Understand mind function and you can improve your golf or your selling in exactly the same way. And selling is at the core of all marketing.
